Wet Hearth Furnace

Wet Hearth Furnaces provide non-crucible melting for all aluminium alloys. A pool of molten aluminium on the hearth accelerates melting of new charge material through direct thermal contact. Clamshell door and drop arch with positioned flues force hot gases over the charge area for maximum heat transfer. High turndown near-flat flame burners prevent flame impingement and minimise melt loss — scrap, returns, and ingot melt immediately from the high available heat. Better access than crucible furnaces for easier cleaning, with less radiated heat and noise. Capacities from 300 kg to 5,000 kg aluminium. Options include manual or automatic temperature control, pneumatic door operation, and siphon or tap-out pouring systems.
