Pit Furnace

Pit Furnaces are vertical orientation batch furnaces of circular construction with an insulated cover, designed for easy charging of heavy parts or baskets via cranes and loading machines. The circular geometry naturally promotes uniform heat distribution. Available in electric and gas-fired configurations with independent heat zones for precise temperature profiling. Centrifugal or axial recirculation fans maintain uniform atmosphere circulation. Standard models include PTF18 (600°C, 450 × 450 × 600 mm, 18 kW) and PTF24 (600°C, 600 × 600 × 750 mm, 24 kW). Ceramic fibre lining at side walls and lid cover, with refractory brick bottom hearth backed by insulation bricks, minimises skin temperature and withstands heavy loads. Suitable for nitriding, carburizing, hardening, tempering, stress relieving, annealing, and solution treatment of aluminum — processing steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum at working temperatures up to 1200°C.
